A Tribute tothe Creator
The Hindi remake of the movie is inspired by the original Malayalam film of the same name. Jeethu Joseph was the writer and director of the movie. However, Jeethu Joseph denied the similarities between the film and the Japanese thriller novel.

Drishyam is Ishita’s Bollywood debut film where she plays Devgn’s adopted daughter, Anju, a class twelve student. Shriya plays the role of Anju’s mother Nandini. But the surprising part is that the actress is just 8 years older than Ishita in real life. Also, Ishita is the sister of the Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta.
